Had been reading
Zindagi XP by
Adnan Farooq lately and trying to learn from his past experiences. I liked his post on "
Over Confidence Kills." It's a good lesson for those who are overwhelmed by their successes and become over confident.
I read it in a book "
The True Story of Christopher Columbus, Called the Great Admiral" that he faced so many defeats in discovering America. In actual he was going for China, but ended in finding South of America which he himself didn't know what he found.
When he crossed the dark sea he was confident of his success and after reaching the America (which he thought is China) had made him over confident. He was glorified with his successes but he didn't know that success never last forever.
So one moment you are successful and the next, you never know. So as Albert Einstein once said "Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value." Because success never last forever and the value you will get will remain with you, forever.
If only we all would understand that....
